Many of these properties were fought for by families for months and months and the banks just stole them from under them. I can tell you there are thousands of people experiencing the nightmare of trying to get a loan modification. Banks are lying, misleading, and quite frankly stealing homes out from under families who have been tirelessly complying with every single bank request to no avail. Anyone who buys a property that has had that kind of heartache attached to it is perpetuating this nightmare. If you don't believe me, look at the posts at www.loansafe.org/forum.
