Taxes and The Social Security Scam
Well , after reviewing a few recent videos on Liveleak & Youtube about the various protests/marches that people are having here in the US for things like more welfare, universal healthcare , and the like I’ve started to get very angry.
Why am I angry?
Because my generation has been fleeced by our parents and grandparents. Politicians made a choice before I was born that I would have to bare the burden of heavy taxation for the previous generation’s stupidity.
Social security was formed in the mid 30s in a political attempt to quell the American’s worries about money and the future. Mind you , the 30s saw many communist ideas being brought to the US by Marxist Russians to spread communisim to a new country. Many Poor Americans felt like they could relate to the message of communism , that is “Making All Men Equal” by punishing the wealthy for having money and giving their earned money to everyone else.
Like many ideas thought up by politicans , Social Security was a scam from the start, people would pay part of their paychecks into a government system, which then would “Invest” the money for them, and hold it till they “Retired” (Something that had never existed before SS came into play). Many Americans were sold on the idea with the picture of the first check being handed out to someone who incidentally had never paid a dime into the system.
Believe it or not , Social Security was a scam from the start, the age in which benefits would be paid out to a individual started at 65, while the average lifespan of an American during the 30s was about 59.
Because of the fact that Social Security was at that point, a rare occurance for individuals exceeding the average life expectancy by 10% the government got what it wanted – More Taxes. See , social security money is put in an account, and then used to buy Government Bonds, giving the government the ability to create more debt for itself.
Now , fast forward 70+ years later, and we’ve got an absolute mess on our hands. People are living longer, and fewer people are entering the workforce, the great ponzi scheme is now running out of money at a rapid rate, expecting to run out of money by 2016.
So , what is the government considering to prevent social security from running out, and not putting elderly people who never planned for the future? They want to raid my bank accounts (401k and IRAs) and take my hard earned money to pay the debts of a previous generation.
See now? Politicans have been selling the same dang thing for 70+ years , that is the “Promise” of a easier life, regardless of who has to pay for it.
Unfortunately the time of reckoning is approaching, and one of two things will happen – I’ll be robbed of money I’ve worked hard to earn , OR benefits will be cut/eliminated to current recipients potentially putting millions of elderly people on the streets.
What’s the answer? I’ll get into that later, but for some reason no one likes it.

Hello there =) Just starting reading through your blogs.. quite an interesting person. I like how you think, and just wanted to know more about your thoughts on social security.. I myself recieve a cheque every month for a chronic disability that hit me Jan of 2007..Trying to get it was an amazing challenge. I volunteered at age 13 and 14, I have paid into SS since I started working at age 15.. started full time at age 16 didn’t stop full time work until I was forced to quit at age 21. On one hand, I want to work so badly- I loved having a job, and miss it terribly (I was a Vet Tech) and I hate the idea of ‘living off the government’ I never feel proud, and I’m quite bored every day. But, on the other hand- I am disabled, and cannot work..pushing myself to do so only makes me relapse..so I can’t. The cheque I receive every month is no where near enough to live on.. I am forced to live with my family, because I can’t find an apartment that I could afford, along with bills. I don’t know where I am going with this.. I guess, I was just reading your blog on SS and saw you said government funding in that particular area is deminishing, and wanted to know more about SS and the government- or if you had any other blogs on it, I’d love to read them. Please e-mail me anytime…. -Rena
I am a victim of this scheme as well and sympathize with the author. I am eighteen and am not looking forward to having my most prosperous years of earnings crushed under a social security and medicare/medicaid tax burden. We need to demand reform. We need to form a coherent political bloc of working people that can counter the entitlement grubbing, budget breaking AARP. I sympathize with Rena, but nonetheless, it is unjust to choke our generation with such an enormous financial burden. As the author mentioned, social security was initially designed so that people would not reach the age to collect benefits. That shouldn’t have changed. We need to force congress to alter the existing legislation so that social security moves in conjunction with our nation’s life expectancy. Since our life expectancy is 78, people should start collecting SS at 83.
We are living out the promise of Big Government. These slimes will do anything to stay in power. Including using our hard earned tax dollars to buy votes.
I find it very odd the faith people put into government to solve all the problems one may encounter during life. After all, government consists of the same species that ruined Enron. They are just as greedy and they answer to no one. The only things government can do is regulate, redistribute, confiscate and command. None of these things has anything to do with freedom or liberty.
SS is not a retirement investment plan. It is income insurance for seniors who have now paid into the system for over 70 years. If you object to SS, you are simply misinformed or grotesquely selfish. I hope your parents don’t need any help in their “golden years” or you’ll be whining about it for sure. Want to watch seniors starve or go homeless? It needs improvement and I know there are selfish seniors who don’t need the money but take much much more than they contribute, but for the most part it helps so many needy seniors. You’re just a creepy Bushbacking clown. Be sure to go church and give them 10% of your income to some goofy preacher who tells you you’re going to heaven.
