This is the 5th section of movies I developed, these are very close to the top tier of videos in terms of quality.

History Of this Movie :

This movie was based on a story I heard about various stock class individuals going to fields and playing against rich kids with expensive guns. I always wanted to do something fun like that, so I wrote a little story about it.

History Of this Movie :

Stickball’s unconventional guide to the future was a pretty neat movie, as there were several ideas in it that were eventually used in markers. The guide series was extremely popular among viewers , and this was the 3rd one I published.

History Of this Movie :

During the time of the series (2000-2002) wiping and other forms of cheating were getting extremely common in tournament play. Many players were (And still are) upset with the level of cheating in the sport. At the time, there were many stories going around about high level professional teams that made a habit of training players to purposely cheat. This was one of my thoughts on solving the problem.

History Of this Movie :

Pickn’ paint was a movie made about the significant amount of rec players I knew that had a habit of walking a field to re-use paintballs. Of course this leads to problems with a marker, but never the less I think everyone knew “That Guy” who was so cheap they tried to reuse them.

As time went on , the following continued to gain ground, and I started putting together more elaborate movies, Some were quite prophetic with gun designs that would take place a year or two down the road.

History Of this Movie :

This was a guide I put together to make fun of plenty of paintball guns.

Please note, there is a loading issue with this movie, you MAY have to right click > click play to get it unstuck.

History Of this Movie :

A story was going around at a major tournament where a vendor was selling 40″ paintball barrels, causing guns to jam up and the such. Many on the boards made jokes about it being the same guy who ripped off many players (See pt 2 of our series).

In addition to the issues abroad we had a major lemming situation going on at the local fields. One individual decided on purchasing a 18″ Smart Parts All American Barrel for his Tippmann 98 (not a custom mind you , this was before they were made). Just like a bunch of kids do, EVERYONE at the field bought one, regardless of whether they worked or not.

I made this movie to make fun of them :)

Also , click on the O at the end of the movie, we started to throw Easter Eggs in with some movies.

History Of this Movie :

This movie is pretty much true-to-life concerning a game I played at the local field. In a 3 on 3 match (2 Newbies on my team, and 3 on the other) I proceeded to run up the middle, and tag 2 of the 3 before being eliminated. The surviving player from the opposing team was hiding in a large water trough used as a middle bunker. The game in absolute seriousness lasted a minimum of 5 minutes in which the 2 newbies could not figure a way to eliminate the player in the water trough. We made fun of them for not figuring out how to solve the situation. To add to the comedic value , the player in the middle bunker never aimed at the other players (I assume he was too scared) and fired his paintball gun in the air.

History Of this Movie :

I worked quite hard on getting this one out for Christmas of 2002 (I think it was ’02). There was quite vivid discussion on the forums and chat to whether santa would play paintball, and if he did, how good he’d be.

Here is part 3 of the stickball movies, covering the “Newbie Mistake Series”

These movies were done well into the stickball movie run, I wanted to see how well short and sweet movies could do that could be produced En-masse rather than the tedious 10-20hr process the prior ones took.

History Of this Movie :

This movie was based on a situation we had where a newbie at the field had asked to shoot a guy’s brand new KAPP Autococker (not a angel like the movie) and proceeded to massively screw the system up. Thankfully it was fixed relatively quick, but the individual branded for quite some time, and no one at the field let him use their gun for many many months.

History Of this Movie :

In this gem of cinema , a player stays on top of a hill for a entire day. This did not happen in my expiration, but something close to it did. During a rec game at a friends farm ,a player was told to “Go hide in the woods and wait for the other team” He proceeded to do so, for several HOURS past the end of the game. It was a very hilarious story to hear from those involved.

History Of this Movie :

This was based on a somewhat true story a friend told me (From the AOL paintball Chat) She wanted to play paintball one day, and a group of guy friends let her go along. They proceeded to treat her quite poorly due to her being a girl.

A similar situation happened to another girl, but in the end she got her revenge, So I melded the stories together and got this movie.

These were when the website REALLY started to grow and we developed a cultish type of following. Of course the quality REALLY sucks, but the message is what matters…Right?

History Of this Movie :

Having a problem getting this one to load….

History Of this Movie :

This was one of the fantasy movies I came up with, at the time Doc Nickel was coming up with some pretty crazy paintball gun designs. So, I figured that I would make a crazy movie based on some of the designs he published.

History Of this Movie :

At this time, Brass Eagle had started to run a very limited number of TV commercials for their paintball products. Having not seen any of these commercials on TV (but online) I wondered how a company could promote a product that wouldn’t work too well in the hands of new players so…..

History Of this Movie :

This movie was based on a certain individual who was doing rainmaker electronic conversions. After everything was said and done, he had stolen quite a bit of equipment and money. Many people in the paintball community were furious with what he did.

To take out my anger against this individual, I made a “What If” movie of what many individuals were saying on the forums at the time.

TWiBs 2 – The Tournament

Since I’ve really been working on this blog, I decided I would post something that I did a VERY long time ago that was quite popular, stickballmovies.

The next few posts will contain EVERYTHING that I published from 2000-2003 online, since the website was taken down a while ago.

History Of this Movie :

This movie was my very first stickball movie, the sole reason for it was to make a kid angry.

On one of the old forums (PaintballCity.com) there was a few individuals who were hellbent on using Tippmann Carbines (Boy , wasn’t that a long time ago) with little tasco 3x scopes. Of course this doesn’t work on paintball guns because they’re normally quite inaccurate. In order to make him mad ,I decided I would try to come up with a graphical representation of his stupidty , and this movie was born.

Coincidentally, A kid I knew at the time also was quite dedicated to tasco scopes, so I decided to model the main movie character after him.

History Of this Movie :

Due to the popularity of the first movie (We got over 350 visits in the first 4 hours) I decided that the movie thing MIGHT just be a good thing to continue, I started to develop a story for my next movie.

A few weeks earlier, a friend of mine told me he was going to buy an Angel Paintball gun. We were all in our early teens, so a $1,400 paintball gun seemed like a stupid idea, and I wanted to poke fun at the situation.

History Of this Movie :

This one was based on several expirances my brother and I had while playing paintball in our early days. We found there were 2 kinds of people who owned paintball equipment : Those who cared about their stuff, and those who didn’t. It was always bothersome to play paintball and run into people who ALWAYS complained about their stuff not working. Surprisingly enough, those who didn’t maintain their gear were the same ones who always complained about having to get it repaired, fixed , or even buying replacement equipment.

History Of this Movie :

This particular cartoon was made becuase of some sandbagging taking place at a local field. I felt bad for some of the newer players that were totally turned off by the sport of paintball due to players treating them poorly.

Once in a while I had the chance to school some of these idiots, and always wished someone better than I would play and school them more.

Thankfully, that’s what this video is about :)

2007 Sales Report Jan-Oct

Here’s where we’re at so far in Pickaway county sales. Many people seem discouraged or upset at the “Real Estate Market”. The fact is , prices are UP , and sales are DOWN slightly in both regards.

This INCLUDES the cities of Circleville, Ashville, South Bloomfield, Tarlton, Williamsport, Five Points, Orient, and any other municipality in the Pickaway County area.

2007 Sales (Pickaway County, VIA CBRMLS)

351 Sold (-5, -1.4%) $152,292 List Price (+$765, +.5%) 147,146 (+$336, +.2%)

Not too bad if you ask me, being only 1.4% behind last year’s record volume of sales isn’t a bad place to be. Anything can sell!

Pickaway County market Report Jan-Apr

Thought i’d add a little bit of information from the MLS Service for Pickaway County.

(January 1st – April 18th 2007)
Avg Home Size 1853sqft
Avg Days on Market 123
Average List Price $164,321
Average Sold Price $158,189
Total Homes Sold 118

(Janurary 1st – April 18th 2006)

Avg Home Size 1852sqft
Avg Days On Market 123
Average List Price $156,722
Average Sold Price $151,049
Total Homes Sold 108

Not too shabby for Pickaway County in my opinion. I’m very excited about the rest of this year, and what the market will bring.

Looking to forward to 2007

Soon the New Year will be upon us and my personal outlook is quite good for the next year. At least in my personal business, December is almost over and it has been a very active month.

As many Realtors do, I’m spending time contemplating what I can do to better my results as an agent, as well as improve my ability to handle clients in the future. As I’ve been thinking about this, I’ve come to the conclusion that one of the best ways to better my business is to embark on a goal of improving the public’s view of Realtors as a whole. Many people don’t understand exactly what it is we do, and in addition to that, some people have a negative view of us as well. I believe that the best way to improve my business is to improve the business as a whole, not just myself ,and my personal belief is that that’ll improve me as well as the industry.

I think the best goal that I can set for next year should be a goal of helping, rather than production. I have a feeling if I set a goal of being able to help the community, and individuals that my personal production will follow. Imagine what our industry would be like if Realtors were viewed in high regards in the community, rather than just service providers or the like. I think our field could benefit greatly from more agents doing more to serve others.

Location Location…… Condition?

The other day while i was out prospecting (Realtor talk for Meeting people). I came upon a FSBO (For sale by owner) , we had a nice chat about home sales ,marketing and the general round table of real estate stuff.

The owner asked me the simple question of ‘How do I sell it ,now’.

I find that most of us know the old phrase of “Location, Location, Location” right? Most of us know it even by the term ‘The Golden Rule of Real Estate’. To me , this can be misleading to some individuals. Sometimes we all forget how easy it is to have a house that looks exactly like the one right next to it ,and next to it ,and so on.

While in a competitive market (Like we are now) We need to pull out all the stops ,and as many tricks as possible out of our goodie bag. The one thing I always suggest to a seller is ‘Condition , Condition , Condition’. Any agent will tell you , going into a home is almost like walking into Pandora’s box. I’ve been in homes that have been immaculate , and very reasonable on the pricing ,and then on the other end I’ve been in overpriced dumps (and I use that word literally).

One thing as homeowners and agents , we need to remember the feeling of first walking into a home , and try and re-create that feeling. Its amazing what someone can accomplish with a small , or no budget at all! So next time , you hear the phrase ‘location , location , location’. Just remember , its hard to fix location , but you can always fix condition :)

Sales Drop , So does surplus

I was reading a article the other day in a local newspaper about real estate in central Ohio. It said ‘Home sales down 14% in July’.

It seemed quite disturbing to see a sentence like that in the newspaper. So I did a little bit of research when I came back to the office. Its true that sales were down 14% in July of this year as compared to last. One of the good points about this most resent month was the fact that we didn’t have 10-30% more houses listed than last year. While on one hand its unfortunate to see sales decline by 14% over last July , it is nice to see the high surplus we have been experiencing go down a bit.

Of course , its still very much a buyer’s market out there, and in order to get a home sold ,you still definitely need to be aggressive to successfully sell. With interest rates fairly low, it’ll be interesting to see how the rest of the year pans out in home sales. As for me , I have no complaints about the current market :)
